Why Should You Connect Google Analytics to Your Website?

11/29/2021

Google Analytics is one of the most powerful website analytics tools that you can use to build a stronger online business.
It gets a lot of attention with articles and videos, which means a lot of people are signing up to try it out—and for a good reason. Google Analytics provides a treasure trove of information about your traffic and even your competition.
This article reviews why you should connect Google Analytics to your website to make the most of it.
  1. Collect data automatically
Google Analytics can gather data from your site automatically and make reports. You just have to set up your Google Analytics account and copy a simple code on your website.
It is also possible to access your reports immediately. Thus, Google Analytics reduces workload, effort, and time and lets you access the reports immediately.
You can also use the reports to implement strategies to enhance your website’s performance right away.
  1. Get customized reports
Google Analytics allows you to choose reports that Google Creates or lets you even build your own customized report with its drag and drop interface.
It gives you the option to pick the dimensions and metrics and display the reports as you prefer.
For creating a Custom Report,
Sign in to Google Analytics and go to your view.
Next, click on Customization. After that, you’ll get a drop-down menu from where you’ll have to choose Reports.
Now, click on Customization > + New Custom Report.

Next, enter the title of your report and then hit the “+Add a Report Tab” option. This step is optional.
Choose a type of report and define your dimensions and metrics.

Click +Filter to limit the report to specific dimensions (Optional).
Choose where you want the report should appear. From the drop-down menu, you can pick specific views or pick All views linked with this account.
Finally, click ”Save” to save your custom reports.
  1. Easy to integrate with other tools and platforms
Google Analytics is a great tool for companies to monitor stats on their website. But it can also be very useful if you have other platforms or services that you use to manage your web presence.
You can easily integrate Google Analytics with other tools and platforms. The fact that it has a clear and easy-to-use interface is another bonus.
You can use Google Analytics on the desktop, and it is perfectly suitable for Smartphones and tablets via its app. Moreover, it integrates with Google AdWords. And you can also add it to WordPress. In case you are looking to migrate to WordPress, you can get in touch with WordPress migration services.

Google Analytics’ integration feature provides you with actionable insights that will increase the chances of success of your AdWords Campaigns.

  1. Know your top content
Knowing your top content is important. With so many content creation channels available, it is hard to know what is really great content and what is just average or flat-out bad. The ability to discover your top content can help you become a better marketer and create more of a specific type of content.
Thankfully, Google Analytics helps you identify the content and pages your visitors most and keep them on your site the longest.
You can get this report if you go under the Content menu and select the “Pages” option under Site Content.

This report will let you work on similar content that people want to read.
  1. Discover which online campaigns generate the most traffic and conversions
Google Analytics advanced segments will let you know which of your online marketing campaigns are bringing the most traffic and conversions to your site.
To create an advanced segment, tap on the Advanced Segments dropdown and click on the New Custom Segment.
For tracking traffic from local search directories, call your custom segment Local Search Profiles and enter the sites for which you have profiles.
After you enter all the domains, you need to track, preview the segment by clicking on the Advanced Segments. You can then check the custom segment you want to view and click Apply.
Now, you will be able to view all the traffic and goal conversion data that comes from those sources. It will let you understand what is working the best for your site. The right custom segments will let you discover the ROI of your social media campaign and your other online marketing strategies.
  1. Know which social platforms to target
Social media platforms can drive a lot of traffic and engage your prospects.
Google Analytics allows access to view what catches the users’ attention and then strategically place the ad.
To select the best social media platform for your ad campaign, set a generous budget aside.
For instance, if you notice that there is more customer engagement on Facebook as compared to the traffic from Twitter, you can allocate more budget for Facebook than Twitter to obtain more customers.
Google Analytics lets you guess the performance of all your active social media platforms. You will also be able to determine how much conversion value each platform is bringing, traffic coming from social referrals, and the number of users that are talking about you.
  1. Check whether you are achieving goals.
Google Analytics has a “goals” feature that lets you track how much your business is succeeding.
It also lets you assign goals for tracking the customer’s journey based on their actions.
For instance, when a new visitor lands at your landing page and completes the form, and gives out his email address, he just completed a goal set by you. Your site successfully converted a visitor into a customer, thus adding to your business’ success.
Wrap-UpSo, these were a few reasons why you should attempt to connect your website with Google Analytics.
Do you know where all of your website visitors come from? Do you know how they found your site and what keywords they used? This is all information you can find out if connected to Google Analytics.
All in all, Google Analytics is a powerful tool for monitoring your website and its data. Whether you are an individual who wants to know how your blog is doing or a company that needs to monitor the performance of several websites, the product comes with a lot of features and benefits.
