Internet marketing is a lot simpler than many small business owners make it. In fact, it's so simple that I'm about to give you a 3-part recipe that will almost ensure your success as long as you don't do anything superstar athlete level stupid.
What is the recipe? Here it is in all its simplicity:
- Participate in the Web: Real simple. All you have to do is participate in the Web. Join forums, read blogs and comment, participate in social media activities, and build content on your website. Just participate.
- Add Value to the Web: This one is a little more challenging than the last one, but you should be able to pull it off. All you have to do is add value to the Web. When you comment on blog posts and participate in forums, contribute to the conversation in such a way that you add value to people's understanding of your niche.
- Build Solid Relationships: Whether on forums, through blogs, on social media websites, or through your own Web properties, make connections and build relationships. Relationships lead to business and when you participate and add value, you'll get the business.
This is a real simple recipe that anyone can follow. You don't have to be a genius to succeed online. You just have to follow the 3-part recipe.
